The official philanthropy of Kappa Delta Chi is the American Cancer Society. Our sorority officially joined this partnership in 2004 because we believe that cancer research, cancer awareness, and early detection are important issues, especially within minority communities. We also help organize Relay for Life, which is a community gathering where people from all walks of life can come together and participate in the fight against cancer.

Students and community members form teams and camp out around the track. Each team is asked to have a representative walking on the track at all times during the event to illustrate that cancer never sleeps.  ASC Relay for Life represents the hope that those lost to cancer will never be forgotten, and that one day cancer will be eliminated.

"Penguins for Prevention" is a philanthropy program that our sorority  established in order to provide cancer awareness within our local communities. We host events around campus throughout the week in hopes of educating people on the importance of prevention and early detection among minorities. We aim to get the student body involved in our efforts by creating interactive, impactful, and educational events that will resonate with them for years to come.
